MEXICO CITY

Where to go in CDMX

Mexico City has so much to explore, these are just a few of our suggestions.

Around Mexico

Mexico has a lifetime's worth of things to see and do. We'd be very happy to help you build a trip - so feel free to get in touch. Below are a few starters for 10.

Safety - Although the vast majority of trips pass off without incident, you should exercise more caution than you would at home, and check travel advice before travelling

Our top recommendations

Within four hours drive of CDMX...

San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Puebla or smaller 'pueblos magicos' worth a couple of days like Tepotzlan (not Tepotzotlan), Bernal or Cholula.

If you are willing to fly...

Oaxaca

Really worth a trip for its wonderful culture and food.

Guadalajara and Jalisco - The home of tequila

Yucatan Peninsula

Far more than the resort towns of Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum (though these can still be good options, especially if you want an all-inclusive). Merida and Campeche are interesting cities. If you want fantastic beaches, you could try Holbox or Cozumel. The peninsula is stuffed with Mayan ruins, from Chichen Itza to Calakmul, hidden in the jungle.

Baja California Sur

You can fly to Cabo San Lucas and then up to La Paz. On both sides of the peninsula there are wild beaches and great towns to explore.
